Seniors are the backbone of our communities - a demographic that offers a wealth of knowledge, experience, networking opportunities, volunteer time & eyes that keep our neighborhoods safe. These are our parents and grandparents.
Communities benefit from a wide range of ages but physical limitations can make it challenging for seniors to stay in their homes. Moving to a care facility is a confusing & emotional decision for families - not to mention costly - happening at a time in life when seniors thrive most on comfort & familiarity. Home in our later years should be the place we love, not a compromise or downgrade. We all deserve this. If it's possible to stay why not explore it?
When the cost of design coaching is a hurdle Theory Home Design will happily assist seniors with Aging in Place strategies at no cost. We extend the same offer to individuals managing a disability. Specialized care is expensive enough. We don't want the cost of good design advice to stand in the way of dramatic improvements to quality of life. Please call us to discuss.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
If staying is an option we can consider ways to create comfortable accommodations for visiting family members or live-in caregivers. Not only will the home be safer & more accessible, areas no longer needed can be transformed into attractive, extended-stay quarters.
