Theory Home Design began taking shape circa 2010 after Kristen served as the Director of Architecture at Apartment Zero & while working as Senior Interior Designer at MTFA. With previous experience in sustainable commercial design & high end retail her love for residential projects became clear while working with DC-based architect Bill Feeney, her former employer & mentor. Biophilic design has become a focus, adding nature's beauty and its rejuvenating qualities into her homes.
Kristen lives with her husband & twin children in Alexandria, Virginia. She enjoys teaching design to students & has fun with pottery & DIY builds. Outdoors you'll find her sailing on the Potomac or camping with a good book, and always looking for inspo from nature to fuel her future designs,
